Welcome to the Chat Page that you can use to talk with me and chat with friends and when Benny and the guys are on line you can chat with the band . |
A few words on the site.....
The
site was Designed for, and best viewed (and heard) using 
But seems to work with most browsers. We have decided that the site
will be a Netscape 4.0 setup and highly recommend you get and run Netscape.
The site was also designed to run at 1024 X 768 but fits in a 800 X 600
ok. We do use JAVA and JAVA SCRIPT and you do need a JAVA enabled Browser
to fully see the site.
To see the site as it was designed, you should download and install as windows fonts the True Type fonts used throughout the site. The fonts can be downloaded from the "Software Download" page.
We have included a couple of links pages for your enjoyment. The "Helpful Links" page is a general links page to a host of sites that will help you get around the WEB and the "Rock Links" page is for the music lovers in us all. There are record companies, 50's 60's Hard Soft Acid Metal Gummy Rock sites, Blues sites, Radio Stations and just generally any site we could find that music is the focus.
Benny will be writing the "In Benny's Words" pages that critique the music world.
We will have weekly post of clubs where Benny and the Jets will be appearing and weekly post of Musical Events around the country.
As with all the Web this site is always in a state of flux so keep an eye out for new stuff never know what might happen next
Also there will be some changes soon that will require you have a few new fonts installed and maybe a few new plug ins for your browser. We will be adding a software download page so that the changes will be easy and allow you to view and interact with the page a bit more. Sooooo.... Drop in in a few and pick up a bunch of the free stuff that will be coming soon to a terminal near you!

Benny and the Jets Band, the same band that recorded 3 LPs in the 70s, is featured in a full color picture in the October issue of Orlies Lowriding Hot Rod Magazine, available in book stores nationally - check it out!! The band's web site, www.fast.to/BennyJets, was recently awarded the prestigious Mnet Award, for out standing web site! You can hear Benny and the Jets perform live November 24th on the Brickhouse radio show, with host JT the Brick, on the Sports Fan Radio Network, heard in 130 cities, including WEEI in Boston, WDFN in Detroit, KTCT in San Francisco, and WQAM in Miami. Be sure to tune in. |

Letter From The President........
We at Ghostown Records were surprised that Benny & The Jets didn't have a record contract, so we immediately signed them to a two album deal. This is the same band that played the King Dome in Seattle, the Atlantic Civic Center in Georgia, the Cobo Hall in Detroit, and for 80,000 people over 3 days at Place Bona Venture in Montreal. This band has also played with such artist as Bob Seger, John Michael Montgomery, Chubby Checker, and Bo Diddley.
Benny & the Jets have recorded three albums, an album in the 70's for Butterscotch Records, a live LP at Toledo Sports Arena in the 80's, and now an album for Ghostown records. This last album includes originals and some of the most popular songs from their live show. The next album will be an anthology which will include cuts from this LP and their first two.
